About Shane

Designed in California, Born in Texas.

In the summer of 1971 an adventurous couple from Houston drove to San Diego, California. They spent a few months enjoying the beach and doing some surfing, and nine months later Shane was born.

A childhood interest in electronics lead to a career designing automation and lighting systems in the DFW and Austin areas.

In the summer of 2009, Shane left Austin for the mountains of North Carolina. The intention was to write a book, but synchronicity led him in a direction that could not have been anticipated.
